(Originally from Jalapore, Gujarat). Passed away peacefully on 30th September 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Wellington. Shantaben was a dearly loved wife to Khandubhai Patel. and a loving mother to Kokila and Suresh (London), Sarla and Kanti (Wellington), and Kaushik and Hemlata (Wellington) She was a cherished grandmother to Sejal & Deepak, Amit, Anil & Alison, Sunil & Cassandra, Leena, Meera & Baramey and Priya. Also, a much-loved great-grandmother to Jayan and Safin. She was a strong and kind woman who found great joy in preparing meals for her family and bringing loved ones together. Her intelligence, resilience and unwavering dedication were evident in all that she did and the love she shared will be remembered always. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her strength, kindness, and enduring love will remain in their hearts forever. Special thanks to the staff of Ward 7 East for their care and support of Shantaben and family.
