Questions
- Is an account free?
- Yes. Creating an account is free for individuals, funeral directors and lawyers. You only pay for optional extras like a lawyer check or a featured directory listing.
- Do I need an account to make a will?
- You can start a will without one, but creating an account lets you save it, come back later, and download or get it lawyer-checked.
- How do I get verified as a funeral director or lawyer?
- Choose that account type when you sign up. You'll get a normal account straight away, and our team verifies and activates your professional access (for a lawyer, a current NZ practising certificate).
- Can a lawyer or director see my will or private data?
- No. Professional access is granted only after verification and is scoped to its purpose — a lawyer only sees wills explicitly sent for a lawyer check.
- Can I change my account type later?
- Yes — get in touch and we'll update it.
