Passed away peacefully on 3 September 2026 at Masonic Eldon Lodge, Paraparaumu, surrounded by love. Aged 71 years. Loved mother of Shannon, adored Nana of Micah, and cherished friend and former wife of Barry Morris. Loved daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Liz) Sabo. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Kath and Ross Fisher, and cherished Aunty of Nicci and Manny, Alice, Ivan and baby Darcy. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Vicki Sabo, and cherished Aunty of Theresa and Pat, Alising and Briar, and Johno and Jasmine. Loved daughter-in-law of the late Fred and Joan Morris; loved sister-in-law of the late Allan Morris and of the late Beryl and Barry; and cherished Aunty of Michelle and Janine Tester. Maria remained a treasured member of the Morris family. Special thanks to the staff of Masonic Eldon Lodge for their compassionate care of Maria. A service to celebrate Maria's life will be held at The Pines, 50 The Esplanade, Houghton Bay, Wellington, on Friday, 11 September at 11am, followed by light refreshments.
