Of Paraparaumu Beach. Peacefully at Kapiti Rest Home on Tuesday, 22 September 2026. In her 103rd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas (Doug). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Malcolm and Heather & the late Graham Carter. Loved Granny of Darren, Brent and Kirsty: Claire and Paul and of her 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the team at Kapiti Rest Home for their love and care over several years. A private cremation for Doris has been held. Born in Edinburgh in 1923 and during her 80 years living and loving New Zealand, the connection with Scotland was forever strong just as she was strong. A lovely lady "Och Aye" - indeed she was.

KStJ, of Raumati Beach, formerly of Brooklyn and Wanganui. Died peacefully at Wellington Hospital on Friday 4 September 2026, aged 86, following a short illness. A deeply loved husband, dad, brother, grandad, great-grandad, uncle and friend, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. David dedicated his life to serving others. A public servant for 40 years, a lifelong member of St John, and a valued chair, board member and committee member of many school and community organisations, he lived a full and meaningful life. A celebration service will be held at St Paul's Anglican Church, cnr Langdale Ave & Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu on Friday, 25 September 2026 at 2.00pm, followed by afternoon tea.
