Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 1st October 2026, aged 56 years. Dearly loved partner of the late Hemi Tahu. Adored mother of Jaxon. Treasured daughter of Judy and the late Bernard Thornett. Cherished sister of Shane and Tracey, and much loved Aunty to Carl and Amy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice for the care and support they gave Leigh and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be made online at marypotter.org.nz. A service to celebrate Leigh's life will be held at Cockburn St Chapel, cnr Cockburn St and Onepu Rd, Kilbirnie, Wellington, on Thursday 8 October 2026 at 11.00am.
