Of Paraparaumu Beach. Peacefully at Kapiti Rest Home on Tuesday, 22 September 2026. In her 103rd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas (Doug). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Malcolm and Heather & the late Graham Carter. Loved Granny of Darren, Brent and Kirsty: Claire and Paul and of her 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the team at Kapiti Rest Home for their love and care over several years. A private cremation for Doris has been held. Born in Edinburgh in 1923 and during her 80 years living and loving New Zealand, the connection with Scotland was forever strong just as she was strong.
