OBE, Scientist. Creative writer and poet.

Born Hokitika 22 February 1929, died peacefully on 17 September 2026 surrounded by family at Wellington Regional Hospital; in his 98th year. Former Director of Research at the Forest Research Institute, Rotorua. Dearly loved husband of the late Anne. Adored and cherished father and father-in-law of Lindsay, Sallie and Mike. Much loved grandpa of Charlotte, Annabelle and Helena. Brother and brother-in-law. Loved by his nieces and nephews.

Colin's funeral service will be held at the Ngaio Union Church, 3 Kenya Street, Ngaio, Wellington, on Friday 25 September 2026 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.
