It is the saddest of times for our Whanau. Jess died suddenly due to a medical event in Ranfurly on Monday, July 20, 2026, whilst walking his beloved Reiko. Beloved husband of Donna, father to Mackenzie, Charlie and Ella. Son of Dave (deceased) and Avril and stepson of Angela. Brother of Matthew. Much loved nephew, cousin, brother-in-law friend and role model to many. Thank you to the wider community for your incredible support. We are devastated and our hearts will be forever broken. Thank you to St John and Ranfurly Fire Brigade, Anne and Lynette you will be forever our heroes.

A service for Jess will be held in the Maniototo Stadium, Ranfurly, at 1300hrs, on Tuesday, July 28. Livestreaming at affinityfunerals.co.nz In lieu of flowers donations to Hato Hone St John would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Service uniforms and medals welcome.
