Precious mother, mother-in-law and friend to Mike and Clare, Kate and Graeme, Frances and Martin, Bern and Trev, Rob and Nicki, Ant and Ang. Much loved and cherished wife of Raymond Eric (Ray) for 54 years, loved mother and mother-in-law of Issi and Glen (Branch Creek), Barbara and Ralf (Carey's Bay, Port Chalmers), and Tash and partner (Branch Creek), cherished Grannie of Jessie, Bri, Jake, and Caity (Branch Creek) and their partners, Stirling, Hamish and Jaimee, loved daughter of Hazel (dec) and Tom (dec), daughter-in-law to Eric (dec) and Jean (dec), and beloved sister to Felicity (Bubs), Helen, Tom, and Steve (dec), much loved Aunty to Mons and Ben. The family would like to thank the staff at Taieri Unit Leslie Groves, and Lisa Barlow (Chaplain) for the care and compassion shown to Mary during her time in Dunedin. He will be remembered for his quick wit, storytelling and a remarkable medical career that helped so many. It is the saddest of times for our Whanau. Jess died suddenly due to a medical event in Ranfurly on Monday, July 20, 2026, whilst walking his beloved Reiko. Beloved husband of Donna, father to Mackenzie, Charlie and Ella. Son of Dave (deceased) and Avril and stepson of Angela. Brother of Matthew.
