Peacefully on Friday 18 September 2026, aged 95, surrounded by family. Dearly loved and loving husband of Margaret, father and father-in-law of Stephen and Margaret, Sue, and Chris and Kathy; grandfather to Matt (Charlotte), Phoebe (Richard), Ava and Jack; great-grandfather to Zara, Ollie and Alex; and brother to Ann.

A service to celebrate David's life will be held at Eagar's Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth, at 10.30am on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
