PETERS, James Leonard (Jim) MNZM. Passed away peacefully in Wellington on 15 September 2026, in his 89th year, surrounded by his loving whānau. Eldest son of Len and Joan Peters. Dearly beloved soulmate and husband of Robin Peters (nee Walters). Amazing father and father in law of Tracey Peters, Andrea and Piripi Evans, and Andrew Peters. Adored Ompa Jim of Myrah Ruby, Kiri Ngākina, Lizzie Waimirirangi, and Joshua James. Treasured older brother of the late David, Marie, Ian, Lynette, Winston, Ronald, Heather, Beverly, Alan, and Wayne. Jim will undertake his last journey to his home of Whananaki, and lie in state at Whakapaumahara Marae on Thursday the 17th of September, with service to follow on Friday the 18th at 11am.
