Freda CALDWELL

CALDWELL, Freda Grace. (nee Stuart) Freda of Whangarei died on the 10th September 2026, at 94 years old surrounded by those who loved her. Dearly loved wife of the late Nick Caldwell. Treasured mum and mother-in-law of Kristin and Ken, Andrea and Pete, and Michael and Susie. Proud Nana of James and Nerida, Andrew (deceased), Dan and Beth, Tom and Josh, and adored Great- Nana of Alexis, Annabelle, Addison and Freddie. Sister of the late Veronica and the late Freddie, Aunt to Stuart and John Larson and sister-in-law of Kate and Larry Caldwell. Originally from Scotland Freda was an Occupational Therapist, also a potter, later graduated with a Fine Arts degree from Ilam majoring in printmaking and was involved with the orchid society . She will be remembered for her quiet strength, immense creativity and deep love of family. A family memory day will be held at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the medical teams and the staff at Jane Mander and Ashbury Heights retirement villages for their exceptional care.
