Our dearest Dad peacefully took his last breath surrounded by his loving family, on June 25, 2026; aged 89 years. Former husband of Wilma. Beloved husband of the late Corrie. Very much loved and loving father of Shanie and Peter, Elaine and the late Gerald, Adriana and Evan. Adored, fun and loving Pop of Rachel and Fletcher, Gareth, Sally and Tim, Shaun and Jenny, Barnaby, Lucia, Charlotte and Ben, Marcus and Lara, Alexia and Duncan, and loving Pop of his 16 great-grandchildren. Thank you to everyone that loved our dad, he was easy to love.

A service to celebrate Willem's life will be held at Northbrook Chapel, Spark Lane, Rangiora, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11.00am, followed by interment at Kaiapoi Cemetery.
