On June 14, 2026, peacefully, after a long illness, surrounded by her family at Addington Gardens Care Centre, aged 81 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Bevan and Nicky, Warren and Rose, Steven and Karalyn, Karen and Peter, the late AJ, and Kate. Much loved and respected nana to her 7 grandchildren and her 13 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Gwens's life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Thursday, June 18, at 2.00pm.
