Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on 7 September 2026, aged 92. He will be missed by his dearly beloved son Yogesh, daughters Anita Asri and Anu Anand, grandchildren Rijul Asri, Aakaash Anand and Arhaant Anand, son-in-law Vinod Asri and daughter-in-law Kavita Anand. Special thanks to his GP at Island Bay Medical Centre who looked after him for the last few years, and the staff of St John Ambulance and Mary Potter Hospice for their love and support in his last days. In line with the wishes of the family, a private cremation has taken place.
