Late of Island Bay. On 15th September 2026, peacefully at Malvina Major Retirement Village, Johnsonville, Wellington, New Zealand, aged 96 years. Daughter of Tupulua Sika and Ioane Elisara. Sister of Ioane, Aioalae, and Uatoto. Dearly loved wife of Meinrad Andre 'Andy' Sidler. Loving mother of Mulitalo, Solomona, Andre, Sala, and Penina. Mother-in-law of Nina, Kay (RIP), Avril, Liz (RIP), Kalala, and Michael. Devoted grandmother of Tupa'i, Hosanna, Lorena, Fuamatagi, Penina, Tiffany, Eli, Motu, Steph, Fa'amanu, Jack, Sam, Meinrad, Micah, and Mercy, proud and adoring Great-Grandmother to her 4th Generation of 17 Great-Grandchildren, and loved by all her many nieces and nephews. Special and sincere thanks to the caring staff of the Malvina Major Retirement Village, Johnsonville, Wellington, for their genuine care and support of Taesega in her remaining days - their heart and thoughtfulness is remembered and deeply appreciated by our family. Both family and burial services honouring the life of Taesega 'Litia' Sidler will be held at the Island Bay Presbyterian Church, 88 The Parade, Wellington (for both services). Family and friends service, Sunday 20th September 2026 from 4-8pm, funeral service Monday 21st September 2026 from 9-11am, thereafter a 12pm burial at the Makara Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband Meinrad 'Andy' Sidler and her grandson Jack Sidler.
