On September 18, 2026, peacefully at Hutt Hospital, aged 76 years. Loved wife of the late Michael Chin. Loved mother and mother-in-law Lilee Chin, Laili and Lane Hoong, Jason and the late Jeremy. Loved Pohpoh of Evonye, Eheng, Kevin, Kelly, Chloe, and Natalie, and loved great-grandma of Max. Special thanks to the staff at Hutt Hospital for their loving care of Sum Yee.

A funeral service for Sum Yee will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11.00am, thereafter to Makara Cemetery.
