Passed away peacefully on 4th August 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Sue. Adored father and father-in-law of Karen & Michele, Julie & Gerald and Andrew & Tina. Proud Grandfather and treasured Poppa of Tim, Bella, Matt, Elliot, Archie and Lily. Brother of the late Joy and the late Trevor, and loved brother-in-law, cousin, uncle and friend. Russell will be at home until Friday, please contact the family if you wish to visit. The family sincerely thanks the staff of Hutt Hospital and Te Omanga Hospice for their compassionate care of Russell.

A celebration of Russell's life will be held at Harbour City Funeral Home Chapel, corner Ward Street and Fergusson Drive, on Friday 7th August at 1.00pm. Thereafter a private cremation.
