Roy QUINN

Passed away peacefully at home on 21 August 2026. Born on 12 February 1948 in Lower Hutt, beloved son of the late Walter and Audrey Quinn (née Lawrence), and brother of Lawrence and the late Aubrey. Much loved husband of the late Jennifer, cherished father of the late James, Susan, and Catherine, and proud grandfather of Jacob, Jasmine, Annalise, Alex, Kane, Sasha, and Quinn. A dearly loved uncle to Lawrence, Vincent (dec) Darryn, Jaylin, Anthony, Kelly, Clinton, Lisa, Peter, Sarah, Andrew, Joanne, Richard, and Quentin, and a treasured great-uncle to their children. Roy served with dedication in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve and aboard HMNZS Olphert from 1965 to 2001. His commitment, loyalty, and service will be remembered by all who knew him. Roy will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Roy's life will be held at Cornwall Manor, cnr of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Thursday, 27 August 2026 at 2.00pm, followed by a cremation at Akatarawa.
