Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, aged 84 years. Son of the late Jim and Hazel Smith (Pongaroa). Loved brother of Jenny and Ian, Michael, Daniel, Paul and Sue, Stephen, Ngaire, Tracey, and Monica (dec). Loved Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Long term friend of Valda (Otaki). All messages to the Smith family, - 191 North Street, Feilding 4702. According to Ron's wishes a private interment has taken place at Mangatera Cemetery Dannevirke.
