Passed away peacefully at Granger House, surrounded by his loving family, on July 19, 2026, aged 83. Much loved husband of Mary, dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Shelley & Tony Gibson, Scott & Dee, and Andrew & Angela, amazing Grandad of Sean & Sarah, Tayla; Lucas, Aiden; Amelia, and Ethan, dearly loved brother of Bob Wallis, loved member of the Balderstone family, a loved uncle, and cousin, special friend of Tracey and a mate of many. The family would like to thank the staff of Granger House and Te Nikau Grey Hospital for their genuine care of Phill.

Messages to 12 Karoro Place, Greymouth. In keeping with Phill's wishes private cremation has taken place on the Coast at Westland Crematorium.
