Philippa NOVAK

Peacefully on 12 September 2026, aged 91, surrounded by family, flowers and some drawings of horses - animals she dearly loved her whole life. Treasured partner of Peter Scaife (dec) for 27 years, and sister of Averil (dec) and Janet. Much-loved mother of Simon and Claire, and mother-in-law of Sally and Richard. Special grandmother to Sarah, William, Oliver and Zara, and wonderful great-grandmother of Ellie. We are grateful for the outstanding care Philippa received from Rita Angus staff, Dr Ciandra Keenan, the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department and Ward 7 North. A free-spirited and creative woman with a great sense of humour; she will be missed. A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
