On Wednesday 5 August 2026, peacefully at Parkwood Lodge, Waikanae, aged 96. Cherished husband of Fay (dec); much loved father and father-in-law of Richard (dec) & Margaret, Hugh & Lea, Adam & Denise, and James & Helen (ex). Loved and respected step-father of Catherine, Hetty & John, and Robert & Hazel. Adored grandfather and great-grandfather of Kathryn & Wilfrid, Maggie, Wilf & Esther Robinson, Craig & Miriam & Levi, and Ian & Hillary; Jessica, and Matthew & Eliza; Michelle & Mikey, Sammy & Savannah Beck, Fiona & Juan, Gabriela & Amelia Garzon Robertson, and Anthony; Isla and Theo; Lena, Bessie and Meg Van Hale.

"An Interesting and Exciting Life" well lived

Thanks to the amazing staff at Parkwood Lodge for their wonderful care of Peter. A private cremation has been held and will be followed by a celebration of Peter's life at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae, on Friday 28 August at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nga Manu Nature Reserve in Waikanae https://ngamanu.org.nz/pages/donations would be appreciated.
