Of Porirua. Passed away peacefully on 28 August 2026; aged 86. Beloved husband of Christine for 43 years, much loved father of Brian, Michaela, Mark and Lucy. Grandfather to Kit and Jimmy. A lifelong lover of poetry, science and the natural world. He found his greatest joy in words, wild places and the people he loved. He lived a life shaped by curiosity and an enduring appreciation of the beauty around him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

The funeral will be held at St Theresa's Parish Church, Plimmerton, on Monday 7 September at 11.00am.
