Suddenly and unexpectedly at home on 24th July 2026, aged 35. Adored son of Lidia, he was her joy, and the love of her life. Very much-loved son of the late Miecio, and step-son of Martyn; Cherished by all of those he touched – extended family in Poland and New Zealand, school friends, work colleagues and acquaintances. Everyone he met, loved him. A Mass to celebrate the life of Mateus will be held in Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt on Monday 3rd August at 11.00am.

He will be missed by all.
