Died peacefully at Stokeswood Rest Home on 30 June 2026, aged 94. Loved by her wide circle of friends from cricket, church and bowls. A passionate cricket-lover, she worked tirelessly to provide more opportunities for female cricketers in NZ and around the world.

Your legacy lives on, for in every swing, each ball that's bowled; we'll remember your heart and the stories you've told.

Thank you to the staff at Stokeswood for the wonderful care they have provided over the last two years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Women's League Lower Hutt would be appreciated. The service will be livestreamed with access available on Mary's online profile via the website below. Messages to the family may also be made via her profile. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at Ss Peter & Paul, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Thursday 9 July 2026 at 11.30am, followed by a private cremation.
