Passed away peacefully on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village, Lower Hutt, having just turned 84. Cherished wife of the late Pat. Mother of Daniel, Terry and Angela. Mother-in-law to Paula, Susannah and Steven. Nana to Ryan, Eden, Ethan, Bella, Gaby and Dylan. Great-grandmother of Torvi. Mum lived a full and happy life. She was loved by all who met her. So many memories and so much laughter. An incredible mum who loved us and showed by example how to be ourselves in the world. She was kind, spirited and determined to the end. We will miss you, Mum. We would like to thank her friends who supported and visited her when she was no longer able to get out on her own. We also offer our most sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff and carers at Shona McFarlane, who watched over and tended to Mum with great care and kindness.
