Passed away peacefully on Saturday 15th August 2026 at Mary Potter Hospice, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Hansaben. Son of the late Dayalbhai and Sonaben. Dad to Bakul & Pankaj, Jash & Mukesh, Girish & Vanita. Cherished granddad to Nimish & Dipika, Risha & Janeel, Neesha, Rohan & Hamish. Adored great-granddad to Vinay. Uncle and grandad to many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

A service for Makan will be held at Bharat Bhavan, 48 Kemp St, Kilbirnie, on Wednesday 19th August 2026. Respects can be paid from 10.30am and the service will begin at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation. Baswanu (Sitting) on Saturday 22nd August 2pm-6pm, at 12 Endeavour Street, Lyall Bay.
