Passed away peacefully in Wellington on Monday, 29 June 2026, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Ann, now reunited after 63 years together and a few short months apart. Adored Dad to Angela, Grant, Michele and Vanessa. Grandad to Sarah, Stacey, Matthew, Alice, Ashleigh, Rose, Laura, Cole, Anna and Thomas. Great-grandfather to Cobie, Norah, Flynn and Olive. A beacon of light for many. Thank you Lew, Dad, Grandad and Great-Grandad, for a lifetime of love, laughs and memories.

A service to celebrate Lew's life will be held at The Pines Chapel, 50 The Esplanade, Houghton Bay on Monday, 6 July 2026, at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation.
