Passed away peacefully at Te Omanga Hospice on 1 August 2026, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Velda. Much loved father and father-in-law of Sarah & Ray, Madeleine & Mark, Amber, Tane & Jade. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea, Ella, Elise, Benjamin, Perla, and Darcy, and great-grandfather of Daisy, George and Angus, and loved by his wider family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated.

The service will be livestreamed with access available on John's online profile via the website below.

A celebration of John's life will be held at Cornwall Manor, cnr of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday 12 August 2026 at 2.00pm.
