It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John Gerald van den Kerkhof aged 64, on 6th July 2026 in Tauranga Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Dearly loved husband of Pauline, cherished father of Hannah, and devoted Opa to Cooper (much-loved French bulldog). The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the neighbours, first responders and ICU team for their care, compassion, and support.

A service for John will be held on Sunday, 12th July at 11.00am at Legacy Papamoa, 53 Te Okuroa Drive, Papamoa. Livestreaming of his service can be viewed and tributes for John's family left at www.legacyfunerals.co.nz/s/funerals
