Hambis ZANDI

On 28 August 2026 peacefully at Te Hopai Home and Hospital, aged 99 years. Dearly loved husband of Eleni. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Alex, Mary-Ann, Michael and Jeanne. Much loved grandfather of Jacinta, George (and Rachel), Robert (and Hannah), Yiannis and Elias. Much loved great-grandfather of Persephone, Phoebe and Lily.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Wellington Free Ambulance may be left at the service. Special thanks to the staff at Te Hopai who cared for Bob. Your support has been greatly appreciated.

A service for Hambis (Bob) will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral "O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth Giver of God), 3 Hania St, Mount Victoria on Thursday, 3 September 2026 at 10.00am, thereafter interment at Makara Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to offer their condolences at church.
