It is with much love, sorrow and gratitude that we announce the passing of our precious 'Pa'. Loved husband of Pat. Beloved Dad of Hugh, Donna, John, Anne, Gaye, and Heather. Precious 'Pa' of Thomas, Kate, Alicia, Jonathan, Lucy (dec), Isabelle (dec), Nick, Jimmy, Heather, Laura, Liv, and Angus. Father-in-law of Jen, Bill, Marion, Jeremy, and Wray. Mac passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday 14th July 2026, in his 95th year. A dentist, raconteur, storyteller, cat lover, war historian, and the ultimate family man. Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the awesome team at Mary Doyle, Havelock North, and for the kindness and care shown to Dad during his final days at Hawke's Bay Hospital. A life well lived. Reunited now with his darling Mum, brothers and precious granddaughters. A private celebration of Mac's life has been held by his family.
