Passed away peacefully on Saturday 5th September, aged 96. Ernest drew inspiration from his deep love of New Zealand's forests, wildlife and natural landscapes. A prolific painter and illustrator, his work has appeared in more than 100 children's books and his paintings can be found in many homes and galleries throughout New Zealand. Loved husband of the late Noeleen, loved grandfather and great-grandfather, Ernest will be deeply missed. A private ceremony will be held by the family.
