Elefteria HANDRAS

On Sunday 27th September 2026, passed away peacefully at Rita Angus surrounded by her family, aged 84 years. Loved wife of the late Andrea Handras, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Anastasia and George, and Adoni and the late Alexandra. Dearly loved Yiayia of Paul and Michelle, Nikki, Andrew, Athina and Stathi, beloved big Yiayia of Alexi. Daughter of the late Dimitri and Anastasia Haidakis, sister and sister-in-law of the late Chrisoula and Sotiri, Kosta and the late Hara, Dina, Vasiliki and the late Pano, Petro and Athena, Spiro and Maria, and George and Maria. Loved by all her wider family and friends. Special thanks to the lovely staff at Rita Angus for their special care and support.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Greek Orthodox Church and Wellington Free Ambulance. Friends and family are welcome to offer their condolences at the family home on Monday and Tuesday from 3.00pm onwards.

A service for Elefteria will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral "O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth Giver of God), 3 Hania Street, Mount Victoria, on Thursday 1st October at 10.00am and thereafter burial at Makara cemetery.
