Dolores passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday 14 September 2026, at the great age of 96. Loving wife of Christopher (deceased) for 65 years. Dearly loved mother of Adrienne and mother-in-law of Selwyn Hayton. Cherished grandmother of Greg Hayton and Laura Olsen and their spouses Michelle and Josh. Great-grandmother to Sofia and Stella Olsen and Harry and Charlie Hayton. Special thanks to the caring hospital staff at Bob Scott Retirement Village, Petone, for their wonderful care of Dolores over the last two months after she moved over from her serviced apartment after enjoying 9 wonderful years in the village. A private cremation has been held with immediate family as per Dolores's wishes.

Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us every day,

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Still loved, so missed and very dear.
