On 15th September 2026, passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital, aged 92. Son of the late Herbert and Violet Cainey, youngest of six. Dearly loved husband of the late Mii Te Hani (nee Cummings), wonderful loving father of Bridgette, Irene and the late Estelle. Father-in-law to Steve and Paul. Devoted grandfather of Nathan, Renee and Brooke. Special thanks to the staff of Ward 7 North and the palliative care team for their care and support.
