On 24 June 2026, aged 67 years. Much loved husband of Linda Rooney for 42 years. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Kevyn and Debbie, Paul and the late Fifi, and Craig and Vivi, and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr Anne O'Donnell and her team at Bowen Icon Cancer Centre, and to Mary Potter Hospice staff and volunteers.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated. A small private function in honour of Darryl has been held.
