Passed away peacefully at home with Alan and Gemma by her side after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Rino and Iris Fruscalzo. Deeply loved best friend and wife of Alan. Dearly missed sister and sister-in-law of Marcello and Kerry (dec), Rina and Guido (dec), Stu and Lyndsey, Mary and Steve, Denise (dec), Frances, Cathy and Rowan, Christine and Steve, and Gerard. Loved zia of Daniela (dec), Paolo and Tara, Lucia and Lachie, Matt, Eve and Hamish, Mavournee and Benny, Oni and Heath, Lui and James, Ryan and Raima, Gemma, Tessa, Karl (dec) and Kate, and prozia to Ebonie, Flynn, Izzy, Mia, Oliver, Flynn, Owen, Sam, Ivy, Beau, Huon, Max, Gus, Bee, Evie and Madeline. Beloved niece of Teresina and Mario (dec), and cousin of Bruno and Cathy in Italy and fondly remembered by her wider Italian family and friends. Loved and respected friend and former colleague of many. Cristina's family is hugely grateful to the many medical professionals and carers who were involved in her treatment during her battle. Their care has been exemplary. Cristina will be farewelled firstly with a "prayer and stories" gathering at her home on Thursday 27 August, starting at 7.00pm. Everyone is welcome. Her Requiem Mass will be celebrated at The Catholic Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 40 Hill Street, Wellington, 10.00am, Friday 28 August followed by her cremation at Whenua Tapu Crematorium.
