Peacefully on 11 August 2026 after a short spell at Edith Cavell Care Home, Sumner. Born in Liverpool 9 August 1933 to Jessie (nee Morgan) and Jim Potter and late of Lyttelton, Paraparaumu, Greasby, Bootle, North Wales and Anfield. Loved sister of Stan (Adelaide), adored wife of the late Bill, mother of the late Steve, and Ian (Lyttelton). Lovely nana to Billy (Victoria), and Robbie (NSW). Brenda was a valued member of staff at Medical Laboratory, Wellington, for many years. Initially based at Kelvin Chambers on The Terrace and later at CMC Building, Courtenay Place, Brenda also worked out of the Newtown, Porirua and Kapiti Coast rooms.

A private cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place in Lyttelton in September.
