Died peacefully after a short illness on Monday 3 August 2026, one week before their 70th wedding anniversary. Loving and devoted wife of Denis. Adored mother of Janice & Kevin Martin, Jennifer & Jonathan Welch, baby twins - Christine and Bruce 1963 (dec) and Catherine & Tom Binns. Loved by her 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Loving sister and friend to many.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be appreciated. As per Betty's wishes a cremation has already taken place.

A celebration of Betty's life will be at a later date.
