Al passed suddenly, but peacefully, at Wellington Hospital in the presence of family members. Beloved only son of Rosa and Eric (both dec) and dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Wendy, Ruth and John (dec), and Erika. Al was the cherished uncle of Trina and Geoff, Tara, Matthew, Adam and Jo, and the great-uncle of Emma and James, Sam and AJ, Edward, Harry and Frank.

In accordance with Al's wishes a private cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date and details will be advised once available.
