Wairarapa

Posted 23 August 2026

The whānau of Porotiti (Paul) Rimene wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the Wairarapa community for the incredible kindness and generosity shown to our whānau during Dad's tangi. We are deeply grateful for the koha, kai, time, mahi and support that helped everything run so smoothly. To everyone who travelled near and far to attend Dad's tangi, share memories, offer comfort and pay their respects, thank you. Your presence meant so much to our whānau. A special thank you to Tiki Village for being our backbone during this time, we appreciate your support. Also thank you to Caroline and Gary at Pickering's Funeral Home. Your compassion, professionalism and support made the planning process so much easier for our whānau during a difficult time. The care you showed us went above and beyond, and we are truly grateful. Thanks to the Doctors at the hospital and also Nurses that treated Paul at home. From our whānau to you all, thank you for helping us farewell Dad with the love and respect he deserved.

Ngā mihi nui,

The Rimene Whānau
