Passed away peacefully 27 September 2026 surrounded by family. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan. Loving father and father-in-law of Lara & Tim, Robyn & George and Kate & Rob. Beloved grandfather of Joshua, Lucas, Gabriella, Michael, Avery and Adam. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Cancer Society in honour of Graeme. A public service will be held at Rathkeale Auditorium, 217 Willow Park Drive, Ōpaki, Masterton 5871, Saturday 3 October at 2.00pm.
Ivan ROSE

Anthony, Bev and David wish to thank all who have supported them in various ways during Ivan's brief and sudden illness and at the time of his passing, with special thanks to Sue Chapman. The lovely personal messages of sympathy, cards, letters, flowers, food, phone calls and tributes have been appreciated. A special thanks to Wellington Free Ambulance personnel, and the dedicated Drs and staff at Wairarapa Hospital for their wonderful care of Ivan; and to Rev So'otanga Misikei and Limoe Kelly for their comforting words. We have appreciated the kindness of you all and are comforted in the knowledge that Ivan has touched the lives of so many wonderful people.
Denis LEIGHTON

Passed away peacefully, aged 73, on Friday 25th September 2026. Beloved husband of Linda. Loved Dad of Kimberley and Nikki, and father-in-law of Shane and Mathew. Cherished Pop of Amelia, Connor, Maddison and Charlie. Loved son of the late Rita Tui and Murray Henry Leighton. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Brian and Mary, Gavin and Chris, and Marcus and Sharon. A treasured uncle and friend to many. Denis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In accordance with Denis' wishes, a private cremation has taken place. An informal celebration of Denis' life will be held at East End Surf Club on Thursday 1 October at 1.30pm, where family and friends are invited to come together, share stories and memories, and remember Denis.

Passed away peacefully at Rahiri Lifecare, Dannevirke, on Friday, 11th September 2026. Aged 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Lionel; Much loved Mum of Marilyn, Ian and Janie and a cherished Nana and Grandnana. A private cremation has already taken place as per Eileen's wishes. A small family memorial gathering is being planned to celebrate Eileen's long life. In lieu if flowers a donation to Forest and Bird would be appreciated. Born Ludlow England 11th October 1935. Peacefully passed at Masterton on Tuesday 22nd September 2026. Treasured mother of Charles, Piers and Simona. Beloved Grandmother of Sarah, Sophia and Thomas, and loving partner of Ross. Janet was deeply loved and cherished by all her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Janet's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the wonderful medical professionals who provided Janet with such exceptional care, kindness and support. Janet's family welcome people to attend a service to celebrate Janet's life at The Village Chapel, 4 - 6 High Street, Kuripuni, Masterton, on Tuesday 29th September 2026 at 10.30am, followed by private burial.

Loved Grandma to her 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the lovely staff of the medical/surgical ward of Wairarapa Hospital, and the care staff of Landsdowne Court for their kindness and care of our mother in her last weeks.
