On September 30, 2026, peacefully at Wairarapa Hospital, Masterton, in his 81st year. Much loved father and father-in-law of Rachael; Tori and Matthew, Amy and Mike, and partner of Chrissie. Loved grandfather of Natalie, Bob; Daniel, Emme, and Matilda. Loved brother of Simon. A good friend to many. Former husband of Jenny.

A service for Phil has been held in the Masterton Club.
