With his beloved Margaret by his side, Ron passed peacefully into God's care at the Hawera Hospital on Monday 20th July 2026, aged 90 years. Loved husband and soulmate for 67 years of Margaret. A dearly loved and respected father and father-in-law of Philip and Susan, Annette and Wayne, Michael and Gail, Kevin and the late Eve, David (dec), Christine and Paul, Paula, Glenis and James. Ron was a loved grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Ron on Saturday 25th July 2026, at St Joseph's Catholic Church Hawera, commencing at 11.00am, after which he will be laid to rest at the Hawera Cemetery.
