Passed peacefully, aged 80, surrounded by love, on Thursday 24th September 2026. Much loved son of Rose and MacDonald Hughes and brother of the late Rodney. Loved and adored father and grandfather to Robert and Cath, Joanne, David, Cameron, Samir, Soraya and Benjamin. Loved by Elaine and the family. A special thank you to the staff at Rhapsody and Taranaki Base Hospital for the care.

Rest in paradise and peace, your courage strength and love will be with us forever.

A service for Ian will be held at the Taranaki Crematorium, Junction Rd, New Plymouth, on Monday 28th September at 11.00am.
