Passed peacefully on Friday 2nd October 2026, aged 79 years after a brief illness. Dearly loved wife of the late John. Cherished Mum and mother-in-law to Bryce and Mel, Fionna and Roger, Dion and the late Leanne, and step-mum to Sharron (Dec) and Owen, David and Thanthip, Simon and Nikita, Chris and Anna. Much loved Nana and Great-Nana to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Messages may be left online at afh.nz or posted to 'The Playle Family', c/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340.

A service for Carolyn will be held in The Chapel Of W. Abraham, 366 Devon St East New Plymouth on Thursday, 8 October at 10.30am.
