Bernard GIBSON

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved husband, dad, grandad and friend, Bernard, who passed away peacefully on Friday 18 September 2026, surrounded by his family. Precious husband of Pauline for 59 years. Wonderful dad and father-in-law of Denise and Nic, Daryl and Ali, and Karl and Marie. Much loved grandad of Sam, Felicity, Rachel and Michael.

After a long and difficult final chapter, we are incredibly sad to say goodbye, but comforted that Bernard is now at peace. We will miss his gentle nature, his quiet humour, his familiar routines and, most of all, simply having him with us. Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful carers at Jean Sandel who looked after Dad, for your patience, kindness, care and banter with him. And a very special thank you to Debbie. Your care for Dad went far beyond simply doing your job. The kindness and genuine affection you showed him meant so much to us, and we will always remember it.
