Peacefully passed at home with her family by her side on Friday, June 19, 2026; aged 90 years. Loved wife of the late Viv, loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Judy (Winton), Marie (Ashburton), Kerry and Neil Lamond (Perth), Cheryl and Harry Gregory (Invercargill), Barry and Marcia (Roxburgh). Loved Nana of her 10 grandchildren and her 8 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Val's life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Thursday, June 25, at 2.00pm, the service will conclude with an interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation to Hospice South would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Val's family wish to thank all the medical staff and carers who took care of Val. It is a celebration of life, bright colours are to be worn at Val's request.
